Tap-Rack Tactical, LLC offers the handgun instructor course for officers that are assigned the task of providing instruction to other officer in the safe and accurate pistol shooting. Tap-Rack Tactical covers everything from basic maintenance to core competencies. We will teach you to operate your weapon better, construct drills to challenge officers, develop qualification courses for your agencies needs and provide recommendations for future training.
 
The instructor course focuses on making you a competent and professional shooter as well as an instructor. This course will concentrate on the instructor aspect during the entire week, not just a five-minute presentation at the end. We will cover classroom and range instruction in depth to give you the confidence needed to stand and deliver this material like a seasoned professional. There are no prerequisites to attend this course.
 
Student Performance objectives include:
Improve individual competence as a shooter
Lesson Plan Development and implementation
Range safety protocols and procedures.
Better understanding of the weapon
Adult learning methodology and instruction.
Skill development and coaching to improve student performance.
Deadly Force Law update
 
This course covers everything from adult learning styles to case law as it relates to firearms training. This is a one stop course for LE instructors and program managers.

Bill served in the US Army for 6 years and has been a Police Officer for over 25 years. He has spent the bulk of his LE career assigned to SWAT holding positions as a Sniper, Ballistic Shield Man, Mechanical/Ballistic Breacher, Assistant Team Leader and Team Leader on a large and busy regional SWAT team.
 
He has planned or participated in approximately 1500 missions, he has over 5000 hours of documented training time, and holds instructor certifications in a variety of SWAT related topics.
