Class will be from 8:30 AM until approximately 6:00 PM.

Cost is 120.00 for new permits and 75.00 for renewals.

TO REGISTER - Send an email to info@nolatac.com with your name, phone number, if you are a new applicant or renewal, and if you need to rent a firearm.

GO to this link and complete the waiver BEFORE CLASS: https://www.smartwaiver.com/v/chpclass/

(We require all renewal students to take our entire course in order to maintain continuity and defensibility in court. We feel this better prepares you and us for your defense and allows us to speak to training you have received. Furthermore, we are pretty confident you will be exposed to new and updated information you did not receive in your previous courses, even if they were from us.)

Location - 212 Aycock St. Arabi, LA 70032

This location is the former and soon to be again, St Bernard Indoor Shooting Center. We are actually the U-Shaped building a little further south from the marker in the link.

YOU WILL NEED YOUR HANDGUN AND 50 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION. If you do not have a handgun, you may rent one with ammunition from us for 35.00. Please let us know in your email.

This course is geared for the person looking to apply for their Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit and also anyone new to firearms. It is a great introduction to firearms and more importantly, the legal issues surrounding their ownership and use. If you do not have a firearm yet, DO NOT GO BUY ONE. You can rent one from us. After taking the course you will be much better informed to make a purchasing decision than one you will most likely regret.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY LOADED FIREARMS INTO THE TRAINING AREA. THAT INCLUDES PEOPLE WITH PERMITS. WE WILL DO A SAFETY BRIEF AND TAKE IT FROM THERE.

  1. Good Class

Even with minor technical difficulties and a slightly longer than expected run time the class remained rather engaging and informative. There may have been a point or two in discussing the laws regarding self-defense and handguns that things the instructor was saying felt a little bit more political than was necessary, but it rarely detracted from the overall quality of instruction. on 16th Jan 2017
